Secret Santa Gifts That Won’t Be Regifted Next Year

November 1st, 2024
O

Others will be green (and red) with envy.

Secret Santa gifts can be hit or miss. Gifts where the receiver is unknown means something generic. Gifts where the receiver is identified, but not known well, are tricky. Each group will have its own expectations around the gifts and traditions. Price caps add another element of difficulty. Do you go with a silly gift or something thoughtful? For use inside or outside the office? We have a few ideas to get you started.

01

Drunk Stoned or Stupid

Party games can be fun for the right Secret Santa audience. “Drunk Stoned or Stupid” (a game not known for it’s punctuation) is a boisterous party game where cards are collected by players who best match ridiculous descriptions such as “Gets convinced strangers are celebrities”. Like some party games, this one is a bit risqué, so make sure your crowd is the right audience.

02

Charcuterie Board Gift Set

This novel bamboo charcuterie board surprises with a built in drawer full of all the necessary utensils. This functionality makes traveling with a charcuterie board a breeze and also reduces time spent searching for that misplaced cheese knife. We also love the cracker moat around the outside that helps organize the plate.

03

The Original Wooden Bourbon Drinking Glass

Novel and surprising is always a fun way to go with Secret Santa and these wooden drinking glasses from Oaksip are just that. Designed for bourbon, they bring a different, natural and vintage element to a Kentucky pour. The wood insulates better than glass and does not sweat either.

04

The Ultimate Serial Killer Trivia Book

Gifting for someone who can’t stop talking about true crime podcasts or shows? Check out “The Ultimate Serial Killer Trivia Book” by Jake Rosewood. This one is sure to spur some jokes when opened too.

05

Holiday Classic Candle

For a less edgy crowd or the sweet, sophisticated person in the office, consider the Holiday Classic Candle from Nest. Hitting all the holiday notes like pine, cinnamon and cloves, this may be the most coveted Secret Santa gift at the entire party.

06

Bananagrams

Easy, fun and appealing to all, Bananagrams is a classic, affordable Secret Santa gift idea. For those who haven’t played, it’s kind of like a faster, personalized game of Scrabble. Fun for the whole family.

07

Original Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker

Friends don’t let friends eat microwave popcorn. The Original Whirley Pop Popcorn maker is an easy way to upgrade the family movie night and makes for a fun party gift.

08

Olive Oil Variety Pack

Whether the receiver is a Graza fan or new to the brand, this gift works for just about everyone. The variety pack is fun as it comes with both the “Drizzle” finishing oil and “Sizzle” cooking oil.

09

Official IMDb Top 100 Movies Scratch Off Poster

This is a fun, unexpected gift. IMDb created a poster of the crowd-sourced top 100 movies of all time and made it an interactive experience with scratch-off decals for each movie. This makes a great gift for the cinephile, person who loves lists or person who has never seen the movies the group discusses.

10

Custom Ice Cube Stamp

We don’t often think of personalized gifts when it comes to Secret Santa and that’s what makes this one so great. These custom ice cube stamps are a fun touch to the home bar and are easy to use by dipping into warm water before pressing on an ice cube. You’ll need a few weeks for this one, so plan ahead!

The Bottom Line

Santa would be pleased should you choose any of these.

A staple of summer sartorialism reimagined for fall.

One of my favorite and most-worn summer pieces is our stone linen safari jacket. It’s incredibly versatile, perfect for travel, and one of the easiest ways I’ve found to add a touch of sartorialism to the general simplicity of summer outfits.
