Rue La La Wish List

November 14th, 2013
I

It’s never too early to start thinking about Holiday shopping or to make a list of some things you might want for yourself. Moms always seem to have a way of catching you off guard with wish list requests. At least, that’s how my mom is. (I love you, mom.) Luckily, Rue La La has helped me get a jump start on that task by asking me to curate a Holiday wish list for them using their new app.

If you’re not familiar with Rue La La, it’s a website that offers really great prices on really great designer items. Sales don’t last very long—often just a couple days—and the good stuff gets scooped up quickly so it is a good idea keep your eyes open. For my list I chose 12 of my favorite things on the site—ever since Venice I’ve decided that I definitely need one of these—and also included a few items you might consider for that special lady (moms, included) in your life. Click here to view and shop my list.

What’s on your Holiday wish list this year?

Thanks for reading.

Stylishly Yours,

Brian

Open For Joy

November 12th, 2013

For the second part of my #OpenForJoy collaboration with Banana Republic, I am really excited to share this video with you. It features one of my favorite pieces from the collection—the fantastic black velvet blazer. I love exploring the versatility of even the most distinctive items and this video is a candid preview of three upcoming posts showcasing the velvet blazer worn around town, for cocktail hour, and to a black tie event. When it comes to style—and life, for that matter—it is always infinitely more rewarding and fulfilling to be open to possibilities, rather than simply seeing things in black and white. Enjoy.

Special thanks to Avenue Antiques, The Brewer's Art, and The Belvedere.
