I’ve always said that I’m not someone who like to chase trends, and actually in this case, I feel like the trends chased me. We shot this look two weeks ago, before Pitti. And if you’ve read the Pitti trend roundup, you know that I’m wearing two of them here. Perfect timing since I called them five trends that you can actually wear.
You already know how I feel about turtlenecks. They’ve been my sweater of choice this winter. A comfortable and elegant alternative to a button-up shirt and tie that easily transitions from the office to the cocktail lounge.
Layering a denim jacket is nothing new, though in terms of seasonal application, it’s usually thought of as a fall play. However, try it over a lightweight sweater and under a wool topcoat this winter to give a tailored look a bit of a high/low edge.
Too much wrist adornment is something that needs to recede into the annals of history, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done at all. A watch paired with a simple cuff and beads adds just a touch of confidence and flair.
Thanks for reading.
