If you subscribe to the newsletter, you’ve already heard me say that I am possibly one of the only people who actually enjoys the cold and snow. Though lots of folks are sick of the cold and dreaming of spring and summer, I have to say that I was pretty excited to see snow again. The only thing that gets a little stale to me, is falling into the routine of wearing the same coat every day. Here’s one way I changed it up a bit and stayed warm with a few of my favorite winter layers.
File this under don’t rule anything out. While a tweed blazer is definitely warmer than one made from a “four season” fabric, it’s certainly not enough for the cold we’ve been having. It’s a little hard to see in the photos, but I’ve actually layered two sweaters over each other.
A true nautical sweater should fit extremely snugly, which will allow you to layer a cardigan over it while still making it possible to wear a blazer. Finish the look off with an ivy cap, tightly wrapped silk scarf, and leather gloves to stay both warm and stylish.
