Flowers, chocolates, and jewelry are all great gifts for that special someone on Valentine’s Day. But anyone can do that. To really impress her, put together a dapper and elegant look for a memorable night on the town.
On Monday, I mentioned that I wasn’t too big on trying to force a holiday-specific color into a holiday outfit. However, that doesn’t mean I’m complete against it. A small red accent can be the perfect finishing touch to your Valentine’s Day outfit.
Keep the rest simple and classic. Experiment with separates, like a nice wool trouser paired with a subtly patterned waistcoat.
And don’t forget to pay attention to your footwear. Ask most women what they first notice about a guy and they’ll tell you, “his shoes.” A leather dress boot, like my favorite pair from Allen Edmonds, is a great option that’s sure to set you apart.
Do you have a big date tomorrow night? What will you be wearing?
Thanks, as always, for reading. And Happy Valentine’s Day!
Stylishly Yours,
Brian
