Saxophone – Selmer
Though you’ve only seen my saxophone on the blog once, I started playing when I was eight years old. I had a friend who was taking lessons and I thought he was pretty much the coolest guy in the world, so I had to do it too. The saxophone and music quickly became an obsession and eventually my profession. It took years of practice and discipline, and I’m still learning. That’s actually one of my favorite things about music: there is no final destination. In other words you can always improve, learn new things, and have new experiences. It never gets old. They say practice makes perfect, but when you’re talking about something as subjective as music, there is no such thing as true perfection.
Do you play—or did you ever play—an instrument?
Thanks for reading.
