Is spring here or is it not? It has definitely felt like it is here this past week, but seasonal transitions can be anything, if not, unpredictable. However, on those springlike days, it feels good to layer a little on the lighter side, especially after the brutally cold winter we’ve had. Here’s one way to do it, featuring a lightweight parka.

During New York Fashion Week, I had the pleasure of visiting Armani Exchange‘s Soho store to preview the SS15 collection. Among the standout pieces – and the standout piece for me – was this handsome lightweight parka. A great transitional piece of outerwear and the perfect stand alone jacket once the temperatures decide to stick to the spring side of the scale.
I’ve been a big fan of the turtleneck and denim jacket combination all winter long. As you know, I always like finding ways to juxtapose casual and dressier menswear pieces. High/low combos hit a style sweet spot with me.
A pair of snow boots aren’t something you’ll wear all the time, but when you actually need them, you’ll be glad you made the investment. Nothing beats the classic L.L. Bean boots.
