Elevated Off-Duty: Wool Bomber Jacket

October 31st, 2014

Let’s get real. When the weekend rolls around, keeping it casual is often the name of the game. I know that’s definitely true for me. A comfortable uniform of jeans and a sweatshirt is sometimes all I need for if I’m just running errands or grabbing coffee. When it comes to casual dress, nothing completes an outfit like a great piece of outerwear. Elevate your off-duty style with a wool bomber jacket.

Bomber jackets were originally developed for military pilots back when the cockpits of their planes were subject to the elements. So the heavier and more resilient the material, the better. A leather bomber is the classic iteration – timelessly cool, rugged, and badass. But nowadays, bomber jackets come in a variety or fabrics, each with a different character and feel for different moods and styles.

A wool bomber is a softer, elevated take on the classic leather version, and will dress up a little easier. It also lends a luxe feel to a casual outfit of a sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers.
