Just in time for fall, I’m excited to have teamed up with Reiss for the launch of their AW13 Collection. Focusing on the character of the Journeyman, the collection exudes style and sophistication but also puts a premium on comfort and versatility—two extremely important factors no matter how you’re traveling or where you’re traveling. Here’s a stylish and comfortable look that’s perfect for any journey this fall.
The idea of the journeyman—that the journey, or process, is more important than the destination—is one that has a particular and very special resonance with me. In fact, as a musician, it’s critical. If you don’t enjoy the process of practicing, of continually attempting to stretch your technical and musical boundaries, of investing yourself in something that doesn’t have a predefined endpoint, then you will never be fulfilled. It’s like that for any skill or craft. Those who have gone deeply into any pursuit, whether musical, academic, athletic, or otherwise, understand this idea intimately.
Once the fall chill starts to hit, a lightweight knit is a casual, sophisticated, and comfortable alternative to a button up shirt. Paired with a classic and slim fitting navy blazer, it’s a look that can transition seamlessly from traveling to exploring a new place to dinner and a night on the town. Versatility epitomized.
