Urban Tropical

I

I love the concrete jungle but it’s not nearly as relaxing as palm trees. And though I may be back from my vacation on Kauai, I’m not letting that dampen my tropical spirits. A bold patterned shirt is not just a shirt for wearing on an island in the Pacific. It’s a great way to add a little flair and fun to a summer look no matter where you are.

For most of the year, I spend a lot of time with just the basics. Suits and classic style with a little modern tailoring are definitely my style sweet spot. So, for me, summer is a great time to push the envelope a bit and have a little fun with my style. I’m not sure a bona fide full-on colorful Hawaiian shirt is for me, though one a little less loud on the color spectrum but still boldly patterned is a good compromise.

The summer heat means that the articles of clothing you wear on any given day are limited. That’s why choosing a few great accessories is key. A classic pair of shades, watch, and hat can not only make a look a little more stylish, but are practical as well.
