Though I’m not a digital native, I might as well be. Over the past decade or so, I’ve shifted from stocking my home bookshelves to carrying a Kindle; from accumulating stacks of magazines to consuming all that content digitally. I’ve never really lamented the change to a more digital world, and have pretty much just gone with the flow. However, I was reminded of the power of print during a recent stop in to one of my favorite local menswear stores. Ken, the owner, handed me a copy of the glossy edition of The Rake, a publication I’d only ever read online. There was a little bit of magic connecting to an editorial on the page as opposed to on the screen. Needless to say, the next issue will be arriving at my doorstep.
