How you accessorize—and style, in general, for that matter—is as much about personal taste as it is about personal comfort. What works for one, or some, might not be the right fit for you. However, I also think it’s important to be open and to have a willingness to try things out, even if you’re initial reaction is to shy away from something. Ask yourself: are you not open to something because you think it doesn’t work for your personal style or because you know it doesn’t?

Wrist accessories, and in particular, bracelets, are one of those things that many guys might immediately jump to a conclusion about as to whether or not they can pull them off. Probably an extreme to one side or the other: like, it’s totally up my alley; or absolutely not, the only thing you’re going to find on my wrist is a watch.

Although I’ve never been the biggest fan of man jewelry and consider my style mostly classic and conservative, I’ve found that I can pull off something leather on my wrist other than a watch strap. To make it work, it’s just got to be fairly simple and masculine. And the new Coach + Philip Crangi collection definitely hits both of those marks. Personally, I was drawn to the Hook and Keeper bracelet for it’s simplicity as well as it’s subtle, but unique detailing.

As far as styling, an easy way to work a leather bracelet into your dress is to wear it in place of a watch. For casual weekend style, when you’re off duty and off the clock, it can be a great way to change things up and expand your personal style vocabulary.
