March 18th, 2016

Weekends are generally about keeping it casual. But if you’ve got a brunch date, you’ll want to look put-together, but not overdressed. What do you do? Stick with a few simple and casual basics.

Here’s some inspiration for a casual spring brunch date.

Instead of a crewneck or cardigan sweater, pull on a classic heather grey athletic sweatshirt over a favorite button-up. It’s a more casual, laid-back and confidently cool approach to layering that gives off a not-too-fussy vibe.

Prediction: you’re going to see a lot of suede this spring, especially in the form of jackets. There’s never a bad time for a suede jacket – except maybe in the snow or rain – and the spring transition is the perfect time to move it to the front of the coat closet after putting it away since the fall.
