To say that I'm thrilled to be home after 37 days on the road would be the understatement of the year. I always have the oddest feeling when I finally do return home, however. And that is that no matter how long I've been away – a day or two, a week, a month – it always feels like I never left. Sure, there are symbols of my long absence, like piles of mail to open, suitcases to unpack, and a bare refrigerator to restock, but I generally feel like I'm picking up right where I left off.
