Summer is a great time to have a little fun with your style. And a Friday night cocktail date is the perfect occasion. Here are a few ways to make it interesting.

Printed shirt. One of our favorite modern summer menswear staples. While it’s perfect for an island vacation, it also helps bring a little bit of that vacation vibe to an urban environment. A palm print in a simple two color neutral palette keeps an otherwise flamboyant pattern on the more conservative side of the spectrum.
Mix patterns. When dealing with a statement making piece like a patterned shirt, our typical advice would be to let it be the outfit’s focal point. But this is summertime. If you’re going to mix patterns, go bold or go home. Just don’t forget these simple rules for pattern mixing.
Statement shoe. Anchor your look with a bolder take on a classic shoe, like the Allen Edmonds Palm Beach weave tassel loafer. It’s been one of my favorite shoes this summer. an instant classic.
