New Summer Classic: Light Blue Blazer

While there’s no denying a navy blazer’s place as one of the most timeless and versatile pieces you can own, sometimes you need something with a little more seasonal flair. A light blue blazer is the perfect alternative for spring and summer style. Here’s one way to wear it.

If, like me, you gravitate towards blues and browns as foundational wardrobe colors a light blue blazer will instantly transform your spring summer style. Light blue is a little less dressy than navy but no less versatile. It looks just as good at the office with a pair of chinos, button-up, and tie, as it does off-duty paired with jeans and a simple white button-down.

Spring/summer blazers always look best when you strip away some formality. Three patch pockets along with a soft-rolled and slightly pleated shoulder project a casual nonchalance that is no less elegant than a more structured version.

I definitely find myself wearing blue, especially light blue, quite a bit this time of year. Even if I am a bit more casual than yourself ;)

Blue is definitely the color of summer and I’m always impressed with how well light AND darker shades go well in this season.

Nice touch pairing it up with brown tones!
