A simple grooming tip to keep you looking polished and younger

This post is sponsored by Amazon and Philips.

About four years ago, I was at the barber getting a haircut. When he was finished, my barber said he was going to put the “fountain of youth guard” on his clippers. He changed the guard, fired up the clippers once again and proceeded to give my eyebrows a trim. When he was through, I could see clearly why he referred to that particular guard length as the fountain of youth – miraculously, that simple eyebrow trim did make me look younger. And since I just celebrated my 40th birthday a couple months ago, it’s something I still do on my own because, hey, I’m not getting any younger!

Beyond the “anti-aging” effect, keeping your eyebrows neat and trimmed is just good business. Bushy eyebrows with flyaway hairs can be a signature look for a select few, but for the rest of us, it’s a sign that you’re really not paying much attention to your grooming and personal appearance. And that can speak volumes to people. Trimming your eyebrows is a simple step to add to your grooming routine to help you look clean, polished and put together.

So what’s the best way to trim your eyebrows?

First, it’s important to understand that when it comes to removing hair from your body, you can always take more off, but you can never put it back on! As a result, you really need the right tool. For me, that’s been the Philips OneBlade Pro. With its 14 different length settings, it makes it very easy to take just a little bit off at a time and not make a mistake.

As you can see in the video, I started at ’10’, which is the longest comb setting for the OneBlade Pro, and found ‘4’ to be the optimal final length. Could I have gone a little shorter? Possibly, but as my eyebrows are a little thinner towards the edges, I didn’t want to risk it.
